Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) Assessment

In 2017, the Richmond Endeavor was selected as the University’s new QEP. The Richmond Endeavor is the University of Richmond's premiere living-learning experience for first-year students. The Richmond Endeavor is designed for students to create meaningful bonds and friendships with their fellow classmates, develop a relationship with a faculty member during their first year at Richmond, and connect their interests both inside and outside of the classroom.

Living-learning communities are established around courses with focused interactions with the faculty instructor that emphasize in intentional ways four learning outcomes (Self-Efficacy, Community, Intellectual Engagement, and Ethical Understanding). The outcomes are measured with a variety of methods including survey tools, rubric scoring, and anecdotal evidence, which are compiled, analyzed, and reported by the Assessment Specialist.
